First, a policy holder bitched me out today. It didn't really bother me in the moment or afterward, it's more like the current thought of it is the straw that's breaking the camel's back.
My sister e-mailed me to let me know that SCE had called yesterday to try and schedule an interview for the position I've been waiting for for ALMOST TWO YEARS. Sounds great, right? Only I love where I'm working now, so if they offer me a job, it's going to be a very difficult dicision... Granted, not the hardest I've ever or will ever have to make, but a difficult one, nonetheless. VPI is a fantastic place to work and I love everybody there. NOT TO MENTION the fact that, since I didn't get the message until today, the position might be gone!
Then, when I got home, I found out I'd missed FedEx delivering my phone. That's all fine and dandy, except in order to pick it up, I have to drive faaar away, or else they'll reattempt tomorrow, in which case I'll miss them again. It'll be a most fabulous endless loop.
Then I got my mail. My Aetna card came in. Now, when I filled out the form, there was this nifty little section that let them know if you already had a physician you'd like to use, so long as it's covered by the insurance. Now, I already know that my physician is covered by the insurance because he's listed on their website and Tif has the exact same insurance as I and she has a doctor in the same medical group. And yet... wait for it...
Are you ready?
They assigned me a random doctor! Thanks, Aetna! Now I have to call you and get you to fix your mistake before I can go to the doctor! I'm way overdue for my thyroid check-up, too... I needed it back in December.
So, thinking about that stupid policy holder bitching me out is getting me in a really foul mood. Like I said, it didn't bother me at the time, but now my blood is boiling and I want some pizza, but we don't have any. DAMN YOU, WORLD.
The HR rep for SCE called me back just now... argh.. my interview is next Thursday at 10:30am. There's no way I could get off work for that... I scheduled it anyway, just in case. The starting wage is less than what I'm making at VPI, by about $0.44, but I'm not sure if it's worth passing up. Oh man, I don't know what to do, guys!
